Zucchini Pizza
Wood-oven style pizza crowned with zucchini over blistered, chewy dough. Ready in 48 minutes including prep.
Ingredients
- Heavy Cream200 ml
- Saltto taste
- Onion1, sliced into rings
- Pizza Dough500 g
- Mozzarella Cheese200 g
- Olive Oil1 tbsp, for the dish
- Dried Oregano1 tsp
- Cheese100 g, grated
- Zucchini3, sliced
Optional extras
- Fresh Basilhandful, to finish
Instructions
- 1
Set the oven to maximum with a preheated stone — a full forty-five minutes of heating is not optional for a crisp base.
- 2
Stretch the dough thin, letting the outer centimetre stay thick and untouched — that's your crust.
- 3
Add the sauce in a spiral from the centre out, then the Zucchini, Onion, and a modest layer of cheese.
- 4
Bake on the stone 6-8 minutes, turning halfway if your oven runs hot on one side.
- 5
The pizza is done when the rim is inflated and mahogany and the base sounds hollow when tapped.
- 6
Shower with Heavy Cream, drizzle with olive oil, slice, and serve while it's still too hot to touch.
Chef's tip
Every oven runs hot or cold; start checking 5 minutes early.
