
Beef Steak Reuben-Style
Warm bread wrapped around savoury beef steak, crunchy salad and a cool sauce — handheld happiness. Ready in 33 minutes including prep.
Ingredients
- Yogurt4 tbsp
- Butter1 tbsp
- Saltto taste
- Tomato2, sliced
- Garlic2 cloves, minced
- Flatbread or Tortillas4
- Lettuce1/2, shredded
- Beef Steak500 g
- Rye Bread8 slices
- Swiss Cheese8 slices
- Sauerkraut200 g
- Thousand Island Dressing150 ml
Optional extras
- Fresh Parsleyhandful, to finish
Instructions

Season the beef steak with the garlic, salt and half the spices, then cook in the Butter until browned and juicy.

Warm the flatbreads in a dry pan until soft and pliable, about 30 seconds a side.

Stir the yogurt with a pinch of salt and a squeeze of lemon for a quick sauce.

Pile the beef steak onto each bread with lettuce, tomato and the yogurt sauce.

Roll tightly, wrap the bottom half in paper, and eat while the filling is still warm.
