A folded tortilla packed with seasoned beef, cheese, a crunchy tostada layer, sour cream, lettuce and tomato, toasted until crisp. This garlic butter version is finished with garlic and butter. Ready in about 35 minutes.

🧀Butter2 tbsp
🍅Tomato1, diced
🧄Garlic3 cloves, minced
🫙Vegetable Oil1 tbsp
🍗Ground Beef400 g
🧀Cheddar Cheese1 cup, shredded
🫙Taco Seasoning2 tbsp
🧀Sour Cream1/2 cup
🌾Flour Tortillas4 large + 1 small, cut
🌾Tortilla Chips1 cup (or 4 tostadas)
🥬Lettuce1 cup, shredded

Brown the beef with taco seasoning and a splash of water.

Layer beef and cheese in the centre of a large tortilla, then the chips, sour cream, lettuce and tomato.

Fold the edges in pleats over the filling and cap with a small tortilla piece.

Toast seam-side down in an oiled pan until golden, flip and toast the other side.

Melt the butter with garlic and spoon it over just before serving.
Chef's tip
Warm the large tortillas first so they fold without cracking.
