🇮🇳 Indian

Prep 20 min Cook 30 min Serves 6 Medium
Ingredients
- Ghee3 tbsp
- Sugar1 cup
- Wheat Flour1.5 cups
Optional extras
- Golden Raisins2 tbsp
- Almonds2 tbsp, slivered
- Green Cardamom3, crushed
Instructions
- 1
Roast the wheat flour in ghee on a patient medium flame until it smells toasty and turns a shade deeper.
- 2
Pour in the hot liquid (milk or water) carefully — it will splutter — and stir through.
- 3
Add sugar and keep folding until the ghee separates and gleams at the edges.
- 4
Finish with cardamom, almonds and raisins; serve warm.
Chef's tip
Ghee first, sweetness later — sugar added too early toughens flour and milk solids.
