Ingredients

  • Saltto taste
  • Green Chili2
  • Mustard Seeds1 tsp
  • Curry Leaves1 sprig
  • Tamarind Paste1 tbsp
  • Baking Powder1/2 tsp
  • Gram Flour1 cup
  • Sesame Seeds1 tbsp
  • Jaggery1 tbsp
  • Taro (Arbi)250 g, chopped

Optional extras

  • Fresh Cilantroto finish

Instructions

    Make a smooth, pourable batter with the flours, yogurt, turmeric and salt.

    Cook on low, stirring constantly, until it thickens into a glossy paste — 6-8 minutes of patience.

    Spread thin on a greased sheet, cool slightly, then roll into tight spirals.

    Temper mustard seeds and curry leaves; pour over the rolls and finish with coconut and cilantro.
