Chocolate Fudge Pops
Fudgesicle built from scratch — the childhood ice-cream van, upgraded. Cold, creamy and scoopable — no ice crystals, no apologies. Serve in chilled bowls or cones straight from the freezer.
Ingredients
- Salta pinch
- Milk1 litre
- Sugar1 tsp
- Vanilla Extract1 tsp
- Dark Chocolate1 cup, chopped
- Cocoa Powder1/2 cup
Instructions
- 1
Chill the mixture base thoroughly before churning — cold bases freeze with finer, creamier texture.
- 2
Dissolve the sugar into the base — warm gently for custard styles, just stir for fruit bases.
- 3
Stir or blend the cocoa powder through the chilled base until smooth and evenly flavoured.
- 4
Churn in the ice cream maker until thick and soft-serve texture, 20-25 minutes.
- 5
Freeze solid for at least four hours, then let it sit five minutes at room temperature before scooping.
Chef's tip
Salt is the missing ingredient in most home desserts — a small pinch makes chocolate and caramel taste more like themselves.
