Chocolate Chip Bundt Cake
Yogurt-kept-moist bundt ribboned with chocolate chips, the keep-forever teacake. A tender, bakery-style crumb that stays moist for days. Keeps well covered for three days — if it lasts that long.
Ingredients
- Yogurt2 cups, whisked
- Butter3 tbsp
- Salta pinch
- Eggs3
- Sugar1 cup
- Baking Powder2 tsp
- Vanilla Extract1 tsp
- Brown Sugar1/2 cup
- Chocolate Chips1 cup
Instructions
- 1
Set the oven to 180 C / 350 F and line the base of your tin with parchment.
- 2
Cream the butter, sugar and butter together until the mixture turns several shades lighter.
- 3
Fold the flour and brown sugar through in two additions; overmixing makes a dense crumb.
- 4
Bake in the middle of the oven for 30-35 minutes; cool in the tin for ten before turning out.
- 5
Cool completely, then frost or dust — a warm cake melts frosting into a puddle.
Chef's tip
Room-temperature ingredients blend smoother — pull the dairy and eggs out of the fridge an hour ahead.
